Are you aware that according to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 18 Veterans take their own lives every day, a problem military officials continue to address http://www.jcs.mil/newsarticle.aspx?id=767; and,
among the homeless population, approximately 14% of adult males and 2% of adult females were Veterans http://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/docs/Center/Prevalence_Final.pdf?
Goal: To create a network for Veterans and their Families and Friends to get information they need to help prevent a crisis and information to assist during a crisis.
Prevention is the Best Medicine and Knowledge is Power. Arm yourself with information and pass it along. Many times it is left up to family and friends to identify when there is a problem. A good place to start is to find resources that are available. The following is a list of resources available immediately and online:
